History
Built in 1905 by Captain John J. Chipley, this
building was the home place of several generations
of Chipley descendants through 1969, at which
time G. Kenny Chambers purchased the property
and began operation of Chambers Funeral Home.
In 1984, John A. Elmore purchased the business
which he ran as Elmore-Chambers Funeral Home until the death
of Mr. Chambers, at which point it became the Elmore Funeral Home.
In early 2020, Mr. Elmore passed away following a tragic accident.
To honor their father, his daughters chose to keep the funeral home open.
In July of 2020, Sam Moon was hired as the new director.
